About Me
Born in Marion, Ohio and raised in small towns. Dad was a preacher and mom was a teacher. A child of the 70s and 80s who feels bad for anyone not born during that time. A very fortunate child. Loved, poor, read to, taught to be creative, neglected (in a good way), explored the woods, and encouraged in the faith. I would not change any of it.
Attended a private Christian school and graduated from college in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in church ministries. Married for thirty six years to my college sweetheart. Father of two (one special needs) and grandfather of two. Reside in San Antonio, TX where we attend church (and teach singles). Made a living in technology, project management, and strategic planning at two great companies.
My time is spent working, walking, reading, writing, and enjoying my family (and eating barbecue whenever I can). I enjoy non-fiction (biographies, history, Puritan writers, classics, and an assortment of other subjects - usually something that caught my eye in the previous book I read).
I believe time is short, death is certain, God is real, and that the good news of Jesus is true. These animate my life.
And if you are wondering… yes, that is a picture of me.
All the best!
